Welcome to The Lawyer General Counsel Strategy Summit 2013

Last March The Lawyer gathered 120 of Europe’s leading lawyers working in business to Portugal’s stunning Penha Longa hotel to discuss the key issues facing general counsel in a time of unprecedented economic and political change. The event was a huge success, bringing together legal professionals from a broad range of industry sectors in an environment where ideas, experiences and strategies were shared between peers.

Over the last year, many of the challenges faced by general counsel and heads of legal have developed in new directions, but all remain business critical issues for the legal function.  Continuing political upheaval in the Middle East and economic uncertainty in the Eurozone make having a strategic take on a rapidly evolving global situation essential.

This year's Lawyer General Counsel Strategy Summit will return to Penha Longa and take place on 25th and 26th April 2013. The event will again provide senior lawyers working in business with an essential overview of the key issues they face, making them more effective in their role.
